She's also the author of The Inner Tarot - A modern approach to self-compassion & empowered healing using the Tarot, which we delve into further in this episode. I invited Kate to join the podcast to explore the themes of the Hermit tarot card. Understanding the Hermit means embarking on an inner journey to illuminate our soul's light by deeply comprehending and awakening to ourselves.

In today's episode we delve deeper into Kristen's journey with her Forest Friends deck and exploring the motivations that drove her to craft her own unique deck. We'll uncover the profound significance of this project, as Kristin shares how it serves as a tribute to both her late father and the arrival of her son. Our conversation touches on the therapeutic nature of deck creation, navigating the complexities of grief, and the profound sense of guidance that can accompany the creative process.

Episode 31* The Strength Tarot Card | Befriending the Big Lion Within Ourselves with Maude White
Today, we're joined by Maude White, the creative talent behind the Resilience Alchemy deck and the Pleasure Alchemy deck. In this episode, our conversation delves into the rich themes embodied by the Strength Tarot card.
Strength symbolizes inner fortitude, vulnerability, and the bravery to embrace one's true essence. It speaks to resilience—the capacity to bounce back and endure amidst adversity. How we respond when faced with life's trials often leads to a transformative process akin to alchemy, where challenges are transmuted into opportunities for growth and creation.
Episode 30* GOLDEN MANTRAS: How to Use Affirmations to Increase Self-worth & Confidence
Today’s GRACED podcast episode is centered around Destiny’s publishing debut "Golden Mantras", a beautiful affirmation and journal deck dedicated to Black Women.
Our guest today is Destiny Taylor who is the author behind the Golden Mantras deck, an affirmation and guidebook to express your Inner G. In our discussion, Destiny and I delve into the journey of self-discovery and the importance of aligning with our authentic selves. We explore the challenges of societal norms, grappling with feelings of not fitting in due to perceived differences like height or personality quirks. Embracing both our strengths and limitations becomes pivotal in this process. Additionally, Destiny and I contemplate the notion of relinquishing the pressures associated with the "girlboss" era, questioning the necessity of relentless hustle to achieve fulfillment. Instead, we ponder the liberating prospect of embracing a more nuanced approach to life, perhaps even stepping into a "villain" phase, among other thought-provoking topics.
Episode 29* Why Being a Work in Progress is Perfectly OK
In today’s GRACED podcast episode, I'll be discussing what it means to be a work in progress and why is that a good thing. Topics include activating my birthday, my journey thus far, celebrating yourself for the small things, trying new things and discovering yourself.
Episode 28* Creating Self Trust Within Yourself and Activating your Creativity with Jamie Schumann
Today’s GRACED podcast episode is a little different today and I am talking to one of the Create Your Deck Club members, Jamie, to hear about her experience inside the Create Your Deck Club.
In this cheerful conversation, unbeknownst to me, Jamie had actually taken another deck making course but actually had trouble making progress, and she actually struggled for years in making her own deck…that is, until she joined the Create Your Deck Club!
Episode 27* The Chariot Tarot Card | Finding Your Inner Truth and Spiritual Awakening with Emma Zhang
Today’s guest is Emma Zhang, creator behind the Dream Visions Tarot and Dream of Nile Tarot, which are both self-published decks that launched on Kickstarter. Emma’s psychic visions and experiences with the spirit realm are illustrated within the cards in a beautiful, colorful, and mysterious way.
The theme of this episode is The Chariot card, which is partly inspired by our own journey’s lately with incidents that have happened in cars. I mention some of this in my solo episode where I talk about why I took a podcast break, but for some reason during my Chariot year, I had my car broken into twice, my laptop stolen twice, and the first time it was broken into, it was completely stolen! It was crazy. And things just seemed to keep happening to my car and I couldn’t quite explain it. And in Emma’s case, her spiritual awakening emerged because she got into intense car accidents that while she lost her vision, which she regained back, those accidents also opened up her third eye, which we talk more about in this episode, amongst other things.
